It's that time of year again to pull your credit report and look for discrepancies. To pull your report, use annualcreditreport.com. This is the website the credit reporting agencies set up to comply with the Federal law that gives you free access to your credit report. At the website, you'll have the option to download one or all of the credit reports from the three agencies. Make sure the Experian box is checked and the other two credit agencies are unchecked before you pull your report.
Once you have your report, review it for any errors, accounts your don't recognize, or balances that seem off. Identify any information on the report that is inaccurate and dispute it with the credit agencies. You have a right under the law to dispute any information and have inaccurate information removed.
